The following Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations provided for vehicle key replacement, spare key creation, and all keys lost services. Acceptance of our quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
This quotation is based on the vehicle being in sound working condition. The vehicle must have a functional battery, electrical system, immobilizer, ignition, door locks (where applicable), and any other components required to complete the requested service.
If the vehicle has faults, damage, missing parts, or modifications that were not disclosed when the quotation was requested, additional charges may apply, or we may decline to carry out the work.
Customers must disclose any known faults or damage before an appointment is scheduled. This includes, but is not limited to:
Quotations for spare keys are based on the customer having at least one fully functional key that starts and operates the vehicle.
If no working key is available at the time of service, the work will be treated as an All Keys Lost job and the quotation will be revised accordingly.
Quotations for All Keys Lost services assume the vehicle's immobilizer, ECU, ignition, locks, and related systems are original, functional, and accessible.
Additional labour required due to damaged, replaced, modified, inaccessible, or non-standard components may incur additional charges.
If attendance at the vehicle reveals undisclosed faults, damage, or circumstances that prevent completion of the quoted work, a discretionary call-out fee of $80 may be charged to cover travel time, diagnosis, and associated costs.
This fee may also apply where incorrect or incomplete information was provided when requesting the quotation.
Any work required beyond the scope of the original quotation will be discussed with the customer before proceeding. No additional chargeable work will be undertaken without the customer's approval.
The customer is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is safely accessible and located where work can be carried out legally and safely.
Delays or additional travel caused by incorrect location details, restricted access, or inaccessible vehicles may result in additional charges.
Proof of ownership and suitable identification may be required before any key replacement or programming service is carried out.
We reserve the right to refuse service where ownership cannot be reasonably verified.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or failures that become apparent during diagnosis or programming.
Modern vehicle security systems may already contain faults that prevent successful key programming. Diagnosis and repair of these faults are not included in the quoted price unless specifically stated.
Quotations are based on the vehicle registration number and the vehicle details supplied by the customer.
The vehicle's registration, year, make, model, and variant must accurately match the information provided when requesting the quotation. If the supplied information is incorrect or does not match the vehicle presented for service, the quotation may no longer be valid.
Where the vehicle differs from the quoted vehicle, additional charges may apply, or we may be unable to complete the work. We reserve the right to revise the quotation or decline the job if the vehicle presented differs materially from the information originally supplied.
Payment in full is due upon completion of the work or, where the work is only partially completed at the initial appointment, upon partial completion where we are required or agree to return at a later date to complete the remaining work.
Where work is unable to be fully completed at the initial appointment due to circumstances such as parts needing to be ordered, parts being unavailable, additional components being required, or further work needing to be scheduled, the full quoted amount remains due and payable at the initial appointment, provided that the remaining work is part of the original quoted scope and we have agreed to return to complete it.
Unless otherwise stated or agreed in writing prior to commencement of the work, no credit or payment terms are offered and payment is due at the time of completion or partial completion as described above.
Any additional work or charges outside the original quotation must be approved by the customer and are payable upon completion of that additional work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for seven (7) days from the date issued and are subject to the availability of parts and materials.
Acceptance of the quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Any keys, remote controls, electronic components, or other parts supplied as part of our service are covered by the manufacturer's warranty and applicable New Zealand consumer protection laws.
If a supplied key or component is found to be faulty due to a manufacturing defect or failure of the supplied part, we reserve the right, at our discretion, to repair, replace, or substitute the faulty item with a suitable replacement part.
Replacement parts supplied under this clause will be of equivalent functionality and may differ in appearance, brand, or specification where appropriate.
This clause does not affect any rights or remedies available to customers under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where that Act applies.
